- You the client, become an employer, and we Superior Caregivers meet with you and your family to determine your specific needs.
- Superior Caregivers is also committed to the well being of these young graduates, many of whom are coming to Canada for the first time. Superior ensures that these professional graduates are provided with reasonable accommodations and that their responsibilities are well defined. A Standard employment contract is available should you wish to hire one of our graduates.
- Professional caregivers live in the home of their employers and are given 7 days room and board as a part of their compensation package. These live in caregivers are additionally paid a salary by you, the employer. Maximum allowable workload (care giving & general household duties) is 50 hour per week. These hours can be adjusted or flexed as necessary to suit your needs.
- For child care/nannies, the normal work week is Monday-Friday. This is also adjustable to fit your special needs.
- Pay periods for care givers can be either weekly or by-weekly, but can also be monthly. Superior Caregivers will provide all the necessary information regarding pay periods/deductions-everything to ensure easy and hassle-free pay periods.
- Once you hire a specific caregiver, a contract is signed between you and your caregiver. This form is forwarded to Human Resources Development Canada along with additional paperwork processed by Superior Caregivers. The process can be cancelled at any point. You are under no obligation.
- An approval of employment will be sent directly to the employer from Human Resources Canada (HRDC). This information, along with all additional information will be forwarded to Canadian Immigration for work permit issuance. The work permit, issued directly to the care givers, allows the care giver to work in Canada (under the Canadian Care Giver Act).
- As a formality, the employment contract between you and the caregiver is one year. However, it may be terminated at any time and for any reason. It can also be renewed after one year. Some caregivers stay with the same families for years, yet on average many stay for two years.
As part of our commitment, Superior caregivers will monitor with you and the caregiver, the quality of care your loved ones are receiving for up to one year.
